This week the brand new, state of the art Manhattan Marriage Bureau opens its doors for couples in love. Hoping to steal a little business away from the Las Vegas elopers, the City has created a brand new facility to entice couples to get married in lower Manhattan. The newly renovated building located at 141 Worth Street boasts marble pillars, sleek furnishings, crystal chandeliers, room for up to 30 guests per chapel and even an iPod dock to play personal music selections during your ceremony.
Couples can also register at the Marriage Bureau’s Website online to avoid the long lines. Congratulations to Jennifer Avila and Carlos Sanchez, the first couple to tie the knot in the new location!

I heard they were doing this awhile back. I think it’s great!

Dude,
Where was this when I got married in City Hall??? Looks great but a little too late for moi. (Thanks mayor B!) I foresee a lot more of these in the “current economic climate.” Thankfully it seems like a much nicer option now!
