A Brilliant Wedding: Alena & Andrew

Alena & Andrew were such a relaxed couple to work with - they made planning their wedding a breeze! The couple chose the Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico for their destination wedding. Picking this resort for their big day was a no-brainer as they had vacationed there with their families many times in the past. The couple was very laid-back and wanted this to be reflected throughout their wedding weekend. Alena picked a bright, coral color for her touchpoint and we went from there with decor. Their guests' names and table numbers were written on drink flags placed in festive watermelon-habanero margaritas to get the night off to a spicy start! The reception tables were decorated with lanterns and the floral arrangements were meant to look "undone", again reflecting the relaxed theme. Guests dined on locally-inspired fare all weekend and danced the night away under the stars.

We are super excited to have Alena & Andrew's wedding featured on Jet Fete, an amazing destination wedding blog.

Check out the post here!

Congratulations Alena & Andrew

A Brilliant Wedding: Radhika & Carter

Working with Radhika & Carter was such a delight, and seeing their bold and beautiful wedding come together was truly magical. Radhika wanted striking floral arrangements for her wedding day and she was not disappointed thanks to the talents of Jessie from Rountree Flowers.  The bride loved the array of gorgeous floral displays that could be seen throughout the ceremony and reception and she was radiant as she walked walked down the aisle with her father to Clark's Trumpet Voluntary.  The happy couple shared their first dance to "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" by Elvis and partied the night away.  I'm pleased to share that their wedding was recently featured on  Maharani Weddings.  Congratulations, Radhika & Carter!!

A Brilliant Wedding: Judith & Pradeep

I truly applaud Judith and Pradeep for being such a fun and patient couple on their lengthy yet unforgettable wedding day.  Not only did the couple have a full Catholic mass, they also had a vibrant Hindu ceremony.  Judith and Pradeep looked radiant in both their bright, ornately-decorated attire and jewelry at their Hindu ceremony and in their elegant tuxedo and wedding gown.  When Judith stepped out in her blush pink wedding gown everyone was in awe over how amazing she looked in her dress.   Following the couple's beautiful ceremonies, Judith entered the reception with the biggest smile on her face and was ready to enjoy all of the festivities.  The beaming bride and groom shared their first dance to a mixed version of  Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat's song "Lucky" that featured Spanish and had a fabulous evening with their family and friends.  Congratulations Judith and Pradeep! Thanks to Radhika Photography for the gorgeous photos.

Wedding Reception

A Brilliant Wedding: Laili and Paul

Even on the most beautiful day a bride can become distressed, so you can imagine how impressed I was by Laili's upbeat and refreshingly relaxed demeanor on her wedding day, which happened to be the same day Hurricane Irene shut down Manhattan.  Public transportation may not have been working, but this didn't stop Laili and Paul, who live in Geneva, Switzerland, or their guests from making it to their gorgeous afternoon ceremony at St. Patrick's Cathedral.  The couple and their guests braved the coastal winds and headed to the Prince George Ballroom for the reception.  Laili is an interior designer and her design aesthetic is represented all throughout the sophisticated blue and orange decor.  Laili and Paul were introduced as husband and wife to the sounds of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" by Stevie Wonder and Laili, who is of Persian heritage, shared a traditional Persian dance with her father.  No amount of rain or wind could have stopped the joyous feeling surrounding Laili and Paul's wedding day.  Congratulations Laili and Paul! Thanks to Jeff Tisman for the stunning photos.

A Brilliant Wedding: Georgia & Chris

Georgia and Chris said their "I do's" on a lovely Saturday last September. Following a touching ceremony at a local church, their gorgeous reception took place at the Tribeca 360, aptly named for the stunning panoramic views of Manhattan that wedding guests were able to enjoy! In addition to the incredible view, my favorite part of their wedding was the bridesmaids' bouquets from Blossom & Branch. To celebrate their individuality, Georgia had each bridesmaid carry a bouquet whose floral design was personalized to their taste. I love this idea as  - stay tuned over the next few weeks for a post on this new trend! Later, guests danced to oldies music that was played on records, a retro detail which perfectly suited this fun-loving couple. Congratulations Georgia and Chris! Beaded Wedding Gown
