Kimberly and Bill's down to earth personalities made planning their wedding so much fun. Kimberly and Bill were married in early April on the rooftop of the Bryant Park Grill overlooking the beautiful park. Following with their New York City venue, guests were treated like true New Yorkers with personalized taxi cab escort cards. You could feel the love between Kimberly and Bill as they started their night off with a first dance to "Just The Way You Are" by Billy Joel. The rest of the night was spent dancing, eating, drinking and laughing with friends and family. To finish off the night, each guest was given a freshly baked, late night pretzel as they exited the venue. Congratulations Kimberly and Bill!
Liz and Chris we an amazing couple to work with! They truly wanted to create an unforgettable day, and make sure that all of their friends and family had the best time of their lives. The lovely couple decided to host on a beautiful evening in New Jersey at Chris's hometown Country Club. The attention to all details allowed for it to be a flawless and sophisticated Wedding. Although they were in New Jersey, Liz and Chris made sure to pay homage to their current hometown, New York City. During cocktail hour guests were able to sip on drinks decorated by New York Giants and New York Yankees drink stirrers, and when they made their way over to the reception, instead of traditional table numbers, each table was labeled with one of the couple's favorite NYC spot's. They had a beautiful tented reception accompanied by a maple wood dance floor, and lush floral arrangements were everywhere. The night was concluded with a sparkler send off for the Bride and Groom! We were thrilled to have Liz and Chris's Wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. If you missed it, make sure to check it out here. Congratulations Liz and Chris!
Thanks to Christian Oth Studios for the amazing photos!
Carolyn and Matt's wedding reception that followed their lovely church ceremony took place at the breathtaking Skylight One Hanson, located in what was previously the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Clocktower. The couple took their venue’s history to heart so we designed a day that incorporated an array of unique bank-themed touches into their reception. Beautifully calligraphed escort cards were attached to vintage safety deposit box-inspired keys and were displayed on a custom designed stack of safety deposit boxes. Guests could even snack on colorful lollipops like those handed out at banks. Carolyn and Matt shared their first dance to "Only You" by Yaz and Matt gave a truly heartfelt speech that everyone remembered. Although the couple was moving to Boston the following day, they didn't call it quits after their reception; the happy couple and guests ended their wedding day with a lively after-party complete with beer pong before they made the big move to Boston. Congratulations Carolyn and Matt! Thanks to Kelly Guenther for the amazing photos.
Even on the most beautiful day a bride can become distressed, so you can imagine how impressed I was by Laili's upbeat and refreshingly relaxed demeanor on her wedding day, which happened to be the same day Hurricane Irene shut down Manhattan. Public transportation may not have been working, but this didn't stop Laili and Paul, who live in Geneva, Switzerland, or their guests from making it to their gorgeous afternoon ceremony at St. Patrick's Cathedral. The couple and their guests braved the coastal winds and headed to the Prince George Ballroom for the reception. Laili is an interior designer and her design aesthetic is represented all throughout the sophisticated blue and orange decor. Laili and Paul were introduced as husband and wife to the sounds of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" by Stevie Wonder and Laili, who is of Persian heritage, shared a traditional Persian dance with her father. No amount of rain or wind could have stopped the joyous feeling surrounding Laili and Paul's wedding day. Congratulations Laili and Paul! Thanks to Jeff Tisman for the stunning photos.
We were so lucky to be a part of Helena & David’s perfectly sunny April wedding day. Helena, who works in jewelry PR, and David, a custom jewelry maker, met at a class she was teaching and have been inseparable ever since. Their shared love of jewelry inspired their truly brilliant wedding at a beautiful and classic venue, the Montauk Club in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood. Jewels could be seen all throughout their wedding, from Helena’s extraordinary bouquet made of vintage brooches to the sparkly frames that held the table numbers. Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious cupcakes decorated with the couple’s monogram from Georgetown Cupcakes while Helena and David shared their first dance to U2’s “All I Want is You”. Their wedding was undeniably chic and unique, just like the happy couple who recently gave birth to their first daughter, Presley. Congratulations Helena and David and thanks to Sofia Negron for the beautiful photos!
It's not every day that you get an email from a prospective client asking for help planning their entire wedding in six weeks. But, Annie did just that and through lots of decisiveness and hard work, we pulled it off! The challenges for their wedding didn't end with the short planning timeline. Annie is a Texas sweetheart based out of London and her husband, Dan is a Jersey boy turned military commander and professional triathlete who was stationed in Afghanistan. Despite all this, they were married on a perfect summer day on one of NYC's best rooftops. Annie allowed me to take some chances with design (most brides immediately shy away when the words "turquoise table linens" come out of my mouth) and I have to admit, their wedding design turned out to be a personal favorite of mine. Thank you to Mariann from Blue Daisy for these drop-dead gorgeous photos and for capturing Annie & Dan's vivacious and fun approach to life, love and their wedding.
