Sunil's proposal was one of the most unique and fun ones we have planned! Reema thought that she was on her way to a salsa class with a friend that she purchased on Groupon. We even had a fake certificate created to make sure to sell the surprise! When she arrived at the hotel, signs pointed her to the rooftop space where her "salsa class" was being held. When the elevator doors opened, Reema was greeted with the surprise of her life! Sunil had giant boards hand-painted to represent special moments in their relationship. The first panel she saw when she entered the room featured the couple's Match.com profiles which was how they met. As each of the boards was pulled away, Reema got to walk through the history of their relationship. When the final board was pulled away, Sunil was standing at the end, (gorgeous) ring in hand, ready to propose!
Congratulations to Sunil & Reema!

Abe knew that he wanted to incorporate Vegas into his proposal to Nellie. The two of them absolutely loved vacationing there and if Abe couldn't bring Nellie to Vegas, he was going to bring Vegas to NYC! Nellie had no idea what was in store for her the night that Abe invited her to a "work party" on the rooftop of a luxurious NYC hotel. When the elevator doors opened, Nellie found herself in a room transformed into a Vegas casino! Abe walked Nellie to a custom craps table with "Will You Marry Me" written on it and a deck of cards listing all of the reasons he loves her. Abe then got down on one knee and popped the question! After he got the "yes" confetti cannons went off and the couples friends ran in to join them for a casino-themed party!
Congratulations to Abe & Nellie!

Going to see a musical on Broadway in New York City is always exciting - but even more so for our couple, Cynthia and Humberto! Cynthia started off the day in NYC thinking that Humberto was simply taking her on a city tour that included a "memory scrapbook". At every New York City attraction they visited, they took a Polaroid picture to remember their trip by. Cynthia was excited that Humberto was taking her to see Wicked The Musical after their tour, but she had no idea what was actually in store! The couple enjoyed the show tremendously and were then offered a chance to tour the backstage area. As Cynthia and Humberto walked across the stage where the show had just taken place, Humberto got down on one knee and proposed! Cynthia said "Yes!" and the couple got their fairy tale ending!
Congratulations to Cynthia and Humberto!

We planned Mark & Anna's proposal in the Caribbean paradise of Turks & Caicos. Although they had rented a car for their weeklong vacation, we hired a taxi driver to take them to dinner the night of the proposal so they could enjoy their wine! The driver acted as a tour guide and showed the couple around the island on their way to dinner. When the driver stopped at a private beach and suggested the couple get out and take a walk, they agreed. Once on the sand, Mark handed Anna a pair of pink flip flops he had recently given her as a birthday present. They had the couple's initials etched on the bottoms so that they made imprints on the sand. When they got down to the water, Mark got down on one knee and asked Anna to spend the rest of her life with him - and she said YES! When he stood back up, Anna noticed that the blue sandals he had put on also left imprints in the sand: imprints that said "Marry Me"! The couple then had pictures taken (by their driver aka a professional photographer posing as a driver) while the sun set over the water and they filled small jars with sand from the beach to remember the moment forever.
We are so excited to have Anna & Mark's proposal featured on Your Engagement 101! Check out the post here.
Congratulations Anna & Mark!
