Brilliant Event Planning was founded in 2008 and is co-owned by Sarah Glick (our Boston wedding planner) and Chelsea LaFollette (our NYC wedding planner). We have offices in both New York City and Boston, which service local destinations such as The Hamptons, Cape Cod, and Newport, as well as abroad. MEET SARAH + CHELSEA
Sarah Glick Romashko and Chelsea LaFollette are the magic makers at Brilliant Event Planning. They believe there is something to celebrate in every moment. Chelsea is the lead planner in the New York City office, while Sarah is the lead Boston wedding planner. Though based in two locations, they often team up to create weddings and events together.

With more than fifteen years experience planning luxury celebrations, Sarah has become a trusted advisor to accomplished professionals seeking an organized, enjoyable planning experience and an unforgettable wedding weekend.
Sarah discovered her passion for weddings shortly after graduating from McGill University with a degree in Psychology. Her understanding of people, combined with her natural warmth and meticulous organization, quickly became the foundation of her planning philosophy. She joined Brilliant Event Planning early in her career and ultimately took over from the founder, helping shape the firm's reputation for creativity, professionalism, and impeccable client service.
Sarah specializes in multi-day wedding weekends, tented celebrations, private estates, and destination events throughout New England and beyond. Whether transforming an empty field into an elegant estate reception or orchestrating a complex weekend of celebrations for guests traveling from around the world, she approaches every event with precision, creativity, and remarkable attention to detail. Clients consistently value her ability to manage even the most intricate logistics while making the entire planning process feel calm, collaborative, and enjoyable.

As Co-Owner and Lead Planner of our New York City office, Chelsea LaFollette has built a reputation for producing exceptional weddings defined by thoughtful design, flawless execution, and deeply personal experiences. With more than a decade of luxury event planning experience, she has guided discerning couples through the planning process, creating celebrations that feel effortless while reflecting each client's unique story.
Chelsea’s career has been anything but conventional. After completing her first year of law school, she realized she wanted a profession fueled by creativity, collaboration, and meaningful human connection. Following several years managing the operations and expansion of a gourmet food company, she brought her strategic mindset and operational expertise to Brilliant Event Planning, eventually becoming co-owner of the firm.
Today, Chelsea leads weddings throughout New York City, the Hamptons, the Hudson Valley, Connecticut, New Jersey, and destinations around the world. She is especially known for transforming distinctive venues—from historic landmarks and private estates to raw industrial spaces—into immersive, elegant celebrations that are both visually stunning and seamlessly orchestrated. Her calm leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to anticipate every need allows clients to remain fully present throughout the planning journey.

MEET KATE
Kate is the Senior Associate Planner at Brilliant Event Planning. She’s the mastermind of details and logistics and our right hand. Kate also plans and designs weddings for her own clients in wedding venues throughout New England.
Kate has a double major in Psychology and Human Development from Connecticut College, with a minor in Studio Art. When she’s not planning weddings, you can find her trying new restaurants, spending time with her family, and getting outside with her dogs Gus and Rosie.
