Libby and Tim’s wedding at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston was a celebration that truly felt like home. The couple, who live in Seaport, searched all over New England for the perfect venue, but nothing compared to the significance of bringing their guests to the place they love most. The overall theme was an "enchanted conservatory," blending warmth and organic elements into the sleek, modern architecture of the ICA.
During the ceremony, held on the bleachers where they once enjoyed coffee dates, the space was adorned with potted plants similar to those in their Seaport apartment and comfortable pillows, giving a sense of warmth and welcome as they tied the knot in front of the stunning Boston Harbor. Their cocktail hour featured classic New England favorites like lobster rolls and Maine crab cakes, along with signature cocktails—Tim’s gin and tonic and Libby’s paloma—reminiscent of their summers in New England.
The reception space was transformed to evoke an intimate dinner under the branches of a tree, almost as if they were sitting in their own backyard. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Libby and Tim sat at a long farm table with their siblings and best friends, marking their first "family dinner" as husband and wife.
After the reception, guests moved downstairs into the ICA lobby, where a ten-piece band from NYC brought the house down. Libby and Tim kicked off the dancing with their first dance to "Coming Home" by Leon Bridges, perfectly encapsulating their celebration of home, family, and warmth.
