Brilliant Gift Ideas for Brides

‘Tis the season for holiday shopping! Personally, I’m just about halfway done with my shopping and running out of ideas. Not to worry though, I have plenty of ideas on what brides need and want for Christmas. If you have a bride-to-be on your holiday shopping list, here’s my list of favorite things for brides!

The Wedding Dress Hanger

Every bride needs to hang her dress up while she’s getting ready. Unfortunately, the ugly hangers that most hotels have (or even the plastic ones you might have hiding in your closet at home) just don’t cut it when you’re taking pictures. A personalized wedding hanger makes the perfect gift! Our favorite kinds have a swivel hook, so that the hook can go over a door, but the dress can face outward for a photo. BHLDN sometimes seasonally carries cute ones, but we also love ZCreatesDesign on Etsy. They carry lovely wood and even acrylic hangers that can be personalized with the brides’ name, wedding date, or even just a simple “Bride”.

The Ring Box

I know what you’re thinking: “She’s already engaged, so why does she need a ring box?!” Well, the wedding bands need to get to the altar on her wedding day and ideally, they do so in style! Typically wedding bands come in large, bulky boxes that don’t fit in the best man’s pocket. Photographers also usually take the bands out of the boxes to photograph them because they aren’t the most stylish things. Enter The Mrs. Box. This company creates keepsake boxes for wedding band and engagements rings. You can choose a single band box or a double band, as well as personalize it with her new monogram. It’s a vintage inspired heirloom that she’s sure to love!

The Perfect Neutral Lipstick

If your bride’s makeup artist is like most, she will make sure she looks absolutely stunning before departing. However, she often won’t leave a lipstick behind. This means that your bride-to-be needs to have the perfect photo-friendly shade of lipstick with her on her wedding day, so that she can touch-up throughout the evening. Ideally, it’s something with enough staying power that you really don’t need to reapply that much. Normally, I’m all about organic, chemical-free products, but on my wedding day, I didn’t mess around! I loved these lip liner penclls from Nars. They’re matte, but I put a little clear gloss over top and I didn’t need to reapply! I used Rosebud as the liner and Fantasia as the filler. I think both have since been discontinued, but you can still find them on places like Amazon and Poshmark.

If the bride-to-be doesn’t have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, she will feel better knowing she has a day-of emergency kit to tackle any issues that might come up. Enter in the Bridetastic Kit from Pinch Provisions. It’s loaded with extra wedding bands, last minute toasts, a sewing kit, hair pins, blister treatment, and more!

The Keepsake Box

As someone who loves organization, this last gift idea might actually be my favorite! This handy little keepsake box by Savor has a bunch of compartments to store everything from your vows to the cork from the first bottle of champagne popped on wedding day! We love the custom-dyed fabric box and the fact that it can sit on your bookshelf just like an album, without taking up a ton of space!
